What is the Red Dust Revival?
The Lake Perkolilli Red Dust Revival 2025 was run by the Variety Club of WA Kalgoorlie Branch. The event celebrates the golden years of outback motor racing from 1914 to 1939. In 2025 about 130 pre-war cars and 40 motorcycles nominated. All proceeds from camping and spectator entry fees went to Variety, the children’s charity, to help with their good works in the WA community.
Where is Perko?
Lake Perkolilli is a natural claypan about a 45 minute drive from Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The last part of the drive is on a dirt road and then a bush track. The track is OK for 2WD vehicles.
Lake Perkolilli has no permanent facilities. We ask that people leave the claypan to rest over winter and avoid entering onto the track.
